21mm and 35mm.
While I love the Super Angulon, the best 21mm photo I took was with a ZM f/2.8 Biogon.
With 35mm, the best photos I took were either with the V2 Summilux or the Nikkor 3.5cm f/2.5.
Some of my favorite images were taken with my 50mm DR 'Cron but I think more of the keepers of the keepers are the ones made with the two wides mentioned.

These days, 28mm is my go-to wide. I have a 17mm for my D3 but I very rarely use it. I still need to get a 35mm for the D3 but I'm holding out for a 35mm f/1.4 Nikkor N.

With my rangefinder kit: 28mm f/2, 90mm f/2, then 50mm f/1.4 last.
With my SLR kit: 50mm f/1.4, 105mm f/2 DC, 200mm f/4 micro.

I use different cameras and lenses for different applications.

Most of my keepers came from my Canon 17-40 (when I still owned it) and most of the photos were shot at the 17mm end or the 40mm end, not much in between.

Hands down, 35mm on full-frame. Which is a pity, because my 50mm is my favorite lens, in terms of rendering characteristics, and my 17mm zoom on SLR is my favorite to shoot with.
Of course, this assume defining 'better ones' as images with most meaning and visual impact. I think photography is the art form with the most discrepancy between what the artist sees versus what the viewer interprets in terms of minutae like bokeh and microcontrast and the like (whereas with painting/drawing/what have you it's easier to pay attention to brushstrokes and the like)

My "favorite" or most-used FoV changes over time, based on what camera and lens is at my disposal and my mood when I go out for a shooting session. However, it's pretty clear that I'm mostly a "wide to short tele" user—that's about a 28 to about 90 EFOV—no matter what the camera. I go on sprees of wanting wider and longer, but they don't last long.

Used to be all 35 and 50 EFOV, nowadays I'm tending to 28, 50, and 75-90ish as the norms. My finished work over the past ten years is multi-modal ... no one FOV choice is really predominant in that range.

For me - with MF, I used to like the wide open 43mm on my Mamiya 7, but now I prefer the 65mm.

On 35mm, I have begun a love affair with 35mm over 28mm. On my Contax G system, I have more or less forsaken my 21mm. Just love the 35mm lens for that system.

But I shoot travel and landscape, so will normally like a wide angle. What I am saying is that I am retreating from ultra-wide-angle to a more "normal" point of view.

When shooting people (rarely), it is going to be a 50mm lens (on a 35mm system) or slight telephoto (90mm on Contax G).

Well, my most used focal lengths..
FF Camera = 24mm and 50mm
m4/3 = 14mm (28mm fov), and a 50mm (100 fov)

So, I guess in FF talk... 24/28/50/100 I use those 4 fov for 90% of my stuff.

Street... in FF talk. 24 and 28
Everything else... 28, 50, 100

The majority of favorites are taken with the 28 fov, with the 24 fov a close 2nd

No. Even if most of my photos I like have been taken within 45-60mm fl range, there are many, that I like in the 21-35 range, as well as in the 75-135mm range. It really depends on what type of photography you want to do.

I've never analysed my photographs by focal length. Just guessing, most of mine are probably made with a 35mm lens, cause I have more of those than any other length.

Certainly 50mm in my case. They cover portrait, travel, kids, street, etc. for me. I like wides for landscape and some travel photos but seem to jump between 28 and 35 depending on my mood. I'm back in the 35 mood for now. I have a 15mm Super Wide Heliar and love it, but it's not an everyday lens. With 35mm I can challenge myself to shoot a whole roll, and often get a good number of keepers when I do. With 28mm I couldn't do that. With 50mm there's no challenge, it just feels natural.

Always been a 35 guy and 28 growing with me now. I only use 90/105 for head and shoulders portrait.
