For me, it has always been 50mm, whether on a rangefinder or on a SLR. 35mm always seemed a bit wide for my kind of photography.

Frank, as far as I am concerned, the J-12 needs no help or company. i have included only the focal lengths that i might use, so if you're fav is not on the list, sorry.
i have carried the 28 at times (current favourite), the 35 and the 50, and i guess the 40 for a short time too. for my purposes here if you use a 40 then click on the 35 choice.
