RFF Euromeet 2016 in Trieste, Italy

Is this event still open to join, or is it closed now?

Ernst
hm, interesting question i must admit :)
the event is closed when we all go home from it. till then it is open to anybody to join at any stage of the meeting. even if you come to trieste monday morning after the meeting weekend, some of us would gladly join for a morning coffee...
see you there i guess?

i've been to trieste few times but was never really trying to find bars or restaurants. we just sat somewhere and had coffee. also my local friend did more street than beer :)

@ robert: Don't know about Chimera di Bacco, looks too classy for me... :D
Paolino might be a little more down-to-earth...

Yes, too classy and...expensive! I agree! But I think walking around we'll find a good place anyway, photographers have a good eye :)

robert

we are searching a place for a traditional friday evening beer, which should be chosen in advance, as it is a meeting place :)
paolino loks nice, yes.

If you are going to Trieste and if it falls within your area of interest there used to be a fascinating railway museum in an old, roofless station. I believe it may have fallen on hard times but still displays plenty of unusual and corroding metal. Nothing too shiny!

Trieste has been both historically and politically important, it is certainly worth a visit.

You are very busy, Robert! Good for you.

yes Raid, may will be a busy month, mostly photography related...
may 6-9 we will be in Reggio Emilia for the "Fotografia Europea Festival" , back home and than off to Trieste again something European: the RFF meeting!
Trieste is a special town with a middle Europe feeling (I believe) and meeting RFF friends should be a special way to experience the city...
After this at the end of the month drive to Germany, Wetzlar meeting at Leica...(no money left for purchasing:()...

So, life becomes busy when you are retired....so long you can :)

Sorry, I had to cancel...

Sorry, I had to cancel...

Guys, I am really sorry, but an urgent business trip came up, and I had to cancel my trip to Trieste. I really hate to do this on such short notice, but I had no choice.

Now I can only wish you all lots of fun and of course great light in that beautiful city! Have a beer on me!

Best regards,
Georg

Come on, you can't do this..... :( I hope you get a nice bonus for your good will.

Have a good-one all.

This week, I dusted off the M8, unblocked the heads on the R3000 and cried a little at not having a darkroom any more.

I hope to be at the 10 year anniversary meet in Paris next year ;-)

Back to the main topic, where are we meeting on friday evening for food and drinks? Do we have a list of people we expect so wr can add each others contact infos?

Since we lost our organizer who did this the last two years ( :( ). we have to find a volunteer to care for the contact data.....

....

....

no one? Ok, I'll do it.

Please send me a name, mail-address and a mobile phone number and I'll collect it and send it out to everyone.

Regarding the friday evening meeting I have to read the previous posts again if something was already fixed.
