Sellers Regret... What have you sold that you miss?

As an aside I did have a copy of 'A Hard days Night' by the Beatles ... signed by the four of them.

I had an uncle in the event management game when I was very young who went to a press function they were at on their New Zealand tour in the sixties ... I asked for a signed copy of the album if it was possible ... and he delivered.

From memory I sold it for fifty dollars not that long after I got it when I desperately wanted money for something else! :bang:

Incomprehensible!!!

Incomprehensible!!!

I think I was twelve when I was given that album ... so this has now haunted me for about forty five years!

The look on most people's faces when I tell them what I did with the album is described well by the word ... Incomprehensible!!!

😱😱😱😱😱😱

Over the years, I've sold two lenses that left a void that could only be satisfied by getting another copy:

The 50mm Summilux pre-ASPH e46 in black paint
The 90mm Elmarit-M

The one piece of gear that I regret selling the most though is one that cannot be replaced: I built a custom Stratocaster out of Schecter parts in 1982. The body was a white finished Poplar and the neck was cut from a beautiful piece of bird's eye Maple. All brass fittings, Schaller tuners, and a set of Seymour Duncan pickups. Over the years it got relegated to the corner where the guitars that needed attitude adjustments go. Well, actually that was the only one in that corner. Funny thing - I sold it to one of the visual effects directors on the Lord of the Rings movies. Hope he enjoys it.

holy hand-grenade of Antioch !! - I remember someone in forum said long ago.. thats some sellers regret, Keith I mean.

OK, that's a classic!

Maybe your cousin will give you your money back 😉
I did use cousin rather than the more obvious and meaner choice!

And that obvious and meaner choice would be....your Mom?
😀

(to bad you have to see cars in Monterey this Saturday, we're gonna miss ya)

LMAO! Well done Mike! I'll miss being there as well. I have to try that sandwich place sometime, never been.

Have fun!

I don't have seller's regret for anything yet, photo equipment is uber-expensive and hard to find here in Mexico, so I usually turn a huge profit when I sell stuff (lenses and cameras usually go for twice the average ebay price).
I do have regret for not buying a '41 Chevy for the equivalent of $1665 USD. In the 2 weeks after it sold, I saw 5 similar Chevys on the street even though such cars are not so common here. Well, I guess I'll start looking for another good deal.
