Canon M39 M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
Looks like a nice repaint job, did you do it yourself or was it done by a professional?

Hopefully three images is OK for one post:

Canon V-T
Canon 50mm f/1.5 w/original hood

I need to do a shoot out with the Summarit 1.5, J-8, Canon 1.2/1.4/1.5/1.8 series that I have collected and trim it down to 2, maybe 3 lenses max. Spending too much time dusting off gear and not enough shooting/printing/developing so a house cleaning is in order.

My Canon Rangefinders

My Canon Rangefinders

'When I wake up and walk in my study I always feel a great sadness.. I don't own any of those nice late Canon Rangefinders or lenses...'

Said someone else entirely - but not me ;)

What can I say.. I am a happy Canon RF camper at the moment

And for sake of a clean picture I am not showing the plethora of original Canon RF cases, (all) black finders, hoods, caps, filters, auto-ups, flashes and other accessories I own. Everything works like it should and is ready for use.

I used to own an unusual Canon 7: a black repaint with the meter removed. The hole where the selenium cell had been was pretty smoothly patched. I'm sure I sold it to somebody on here: any of you still have it?

Well, this seems to be the season for purchasing Canon Ps if the previous several posts are any indication. Geez, I knew it was popular back in the day -- and it sure seems to have retained that popularity. At least here at the Rangefinder Forum.

OK, so here's mine. I received it about a week ago and I'm currently running a first roll of film through it. It came in a nice, sturdy leather case that has the bump for the P's meter, which I'm thinking about getting. I bought just the body. The lens I have mounted on it came from my Canon IIIa. It's a very sharp lens, so I don't have much of a felt need to buy one that is more contemporary to this camera.

Please take a look at the third photo. I've seen a lot of Ps over the years, and every single one had a crinkled shutter. This is the first P I've ever seen with an unwrinkled shutter. I bought it from a Japanese seller on eBay. It was being offered as an open auction rather than the typical buy-it-now pricing, and I wound up getting it for an excellent price: $71. $99 shipped from Japan.
