An update since my last post in this topic 2 years ago (the Canon collection has grown significantly since then 😉 ) Things like original finders, cases, flashes and other accesoires are not shown here for sake of a nice clean picture 😛

Camera f.l.t.r.:
-Canon 7sZ (big rewind knob) with very early serial Canon 50 f1.8 black (at least it used to be black, but due to a production error it's more red/brown now)
-Canon P with meter and Canon 50 f1.4
-Canon 7sZ (small rewind knob) with Canon 50 f0.95
-Canon VI-T with meter and Canon 50 f1.2
-Canon VI-L with Canon 50 mm brightline finder (with automatic correction) and Canon 50 f1.8 black

Lenses f.l.t.r.:
-Canon 35 f2
-Canon 85 f1.8
-Canon 100 f3.5 black
-Canon 135 f3.5 black

Everything is clean, CLA'd and working as a charm. I luv' rollin' that excellent Kodak Portra film through them! 😉

That's quite a collection! The VI-T and VI-L is just great! Love them.

How do you like the 85mm f/1.8 LTM? That isn't a common lens to find.

I recently added a mint Canon 7 (with working meter and the - very hard to find- hotshoe accessory adapter) to the collection. Had the shutter overhauled: takes great pictures now (just like the rest of my Canon RF and FD gear).

The Canon 85 f1.8 LTM is a pretty good lens (mine has acquired some user marks in its long lifetime) It is quite big though for a RF lens. I usually take the tiny Canon 100 f3.5 when going RF. When I go analogue and can take bigger stuff I haul around the Canon F1 (I have 4 and a whole lot of accessories) and lenses (I basically have all the breachlock SSC lenses except the superteles and Asphericals) 😎

Yes, they are the same size. Clean out the viewfinder if yours isn't nice and contrasty and bright.

I've cleaned out my 7 and my VT and it's helped immensely. A cleaning on my M3 is next, as it's about the same brightness as my 7, which it shouldn't be (according to internet research).

Canon L3 with Corona brightline mulit-finder and 85mm f1.5

Wow, I've never seen one of those Corona brightline finders before. Didn't know it existed. Am I guessing right that the transluscent window above the clear window is for projected framelines? Pretty neat.

Sticks up quite a bit. Does it tend to get caught on stuff in the bag, clothing, etc.?

It is pretty big, but it works well. It has switchable projected frames for 50, 85, 105 and 135 lenses. Also has a correction for parallax.

Never seen another like it! Today, I very carefully took it apart to clean the optics- I was successful.🙂

Very similar to the Zeiss 426 finder for the Contina, only it has fixed frame lines for the limited aux lens add-ons (30mm and 75mm).

there was a question about using 15f4.5 Heliar on a Canon 7 some days ago. The problem is of course the finder. I found my Canon Coupler for the 7 and put it all together. It is not the ideal solution though - the coupler has to come off to rewind!
Beaty of digital! Sony 7 and Zeiss Macro Planar 50mm f2.0, handheld too. Probably around 6400 iso or something like that.
