"Currently, I'm using my CLE/40mm mostly for slide film. These are all shot on Velvia 50 and are from a recent trip to San Francisco."
Beautiful color with the Velvia. I'm going to have to try the "Velvia" setting on my X100!

Another tribute to this beautiful little unassuming lens.

Colors are great on this page, and this last BW image is great too.
This could be made by Saul Leiter.
Beautiful light and the scans are great.
Great compo and great BW rendition.
I think I'm gonna shoot some Velvia 50 and some APX 100 today on the Atlantic coast with my CLE + 40.

Finally printing some frames from a summer trip down the Oregon coast -- Newport here. The CLE is a terrific traveling camera, and I find the 40mm very versatile. (Pardon the flatbed scan.)

Finally got some time in the darkroom to print my last roll of summer shots. I was pleased with the frames I took of a field of pitcher plants (Darlingtonia) near Florence, OR. The combination of forest shadow and direct sunlight on the pitchers is especially good in the wet prints. This is a flatbed scan, poor substitute but gives a good feel for the contrast quality with the 40mm M-Rokkor.

I use mine just like a 35mm. No problems with framing on the M9 after filing the flange. It makes a nice light-weight travel lens. Very contrasty and flare resistant. Good for landscapes. I prefer the 35/1.2 Nokton and/or Jupter 3 50/1.5 for people shots because both have much better bokeh than the 40/2 CLE which can give that awkward double-edge effect to objects in the middle distance background.

I've been trying to sell my CLE + original grip recently, but yesterday I found the original dedicated leather bag, as new, for peanuts. And I love bags nearly as much as cameras. So I've got to keep my CLE + 40 to use my new bag.
You can laugh at me now.
