Voigtlander M 35/1.2 Nokton photos...

I'd be buying used...so even better. However, I think I need the 28mm 1.9 first. ;)

The 28/1.9 is nice but won't wow you like the Nokton. It's ok wide open but nothing like the Summicron as some users have reported. Whereas the Nokton gives the Summilux ASPH a good run for it's money.

I hear ya leicashot ... it's more about the fact that I like 28mm better than 35mm and I have a pretty fast 35mm...so this will have to wait, unless you guys keep making me look at this thread every 15 minutes. ;)

I was planning on grabbing one next week after reading this thread, but just got my bill from Sherry for some work on an M6 and a lens, so I have to wait a few more weeks haha. Can't wait though!

Wow these images look good! Really like them

Just bought a M8.2 and am considering my lens options. I have the Voigtlander 40mm 1.4 SC.

Did anyone compare the images of the 40mm 1.4 vs the 35 1.2? Do I need to think about the 1.2 or are the lenses comparable?

Have a look here for a comparison.

question for owners of the black paint version - is yours starting to brass? I have a black paint 12/5.6 screwmount and mine shows a lot of brassing...

Yes it does brass fairly easily, similar to most VC lenses. A little more than a Leica black, but less so than Leica black paint. The silver holds it's own better, but I like the brassing.
