Voigtlander M 35/1.2 Nokton photos...

mine hardly shows brassing after almost 2 years of extensive use in all kinds of weather. maybe they changed something about the paint during production?

I too have found the brassing both quick and attractive.

...an M, the 35mm f1.2 Nokton and Tri-X at 400 and you're all set to shoot anywhere and at any time, 24/7/365 (that is basically how I roll =) ).

I shoot this lens mostly in between f4 and f16 in the daytime and at f1.2-f1.4 at night. but it is SO BLOODY DARN GOOD at f2-f2.8!

hmm, the one I just bought at 8030xxx... I had no idea CV made so many lenses! my CV 12/5.6 at 9060xxx and it brasses pretty easily.

just geeking out here a bit, but I just checked my serial numbers....my chrome is 97403XX

and the black one that I just bought is 80307XX

and if Simon's black one is 9850328......does that mean that they made my black one, then my chrome one, and then Simon's black one?.....For some reason I thought that they would run a batch of Lenses with the same finish just once.....but maybe the fact that the 300 Chrome ones that according to Stephen's site were released in 2007 had something to do with it.....Does anybody know how many were actually made?

cheers, michael

afaik, the black version was in more or less constant production, while the silver chrome one was made in 'exclusive' batches (or just one batch)? as to how many were made in reality, I do not have the slightest idea, but I have read that 300 number an awful lot of times (and it hurts me everytime :D ).

There's also a color difference between the red lettering on black lenses. Mine (which is the older one) has a relatively bright red color and Phantomas' (who bought one a few months ago) lens has the same shade of red that is on the Nokton 50 f/1.5.

yes, the red lettering looks pretty much the same on my 1.2/35 and 1.5/50 noktons.

Did I miss something? Is this lens out of production now?
What a crying shame.

I am soooooooo glad I have one already.

My black version is 9330905. The red lettering is not bright red.

my black one is 9850285 which I bought in mint condition from a seller in Switzerland. I don't think he'd had it long. Serial is pretty close to Simon's.
