Well, since the 15th was my birthday-and I had to work that day.. I bought a Vivitar 356 flash and a Mamiya TLR body cap when they had the 20% off special a few days ago.

The power pack for the 365 is slated to be rebuilt in large electronic enclosure with a 12 volt gel cell powering it. I seem to be the Tim Taylor of electronic flash.

2 'for repair' early agfa super silettes, one with an apotar and another with a solinar lens. Both have sticky shutters. Cost me £19 inc postage.

I'll be getting the solinar one CLA'd and giving the apotar one to the rapairman for parts (to be used on any super silette, not just mine). I suppose I could hope for a 'trade-in' deal for it against the cost of the CLA of the solinar one.

I thought it a decent 'risk' as I'd have the solinar one CLA'd anyway no matter what I paid for it unless it had already been done.

The VF4 is a big improvement in my experience - I got one for my EPM2 as well. The most recent purchase has been a lens hood for my often-used Elmar-M 50/2.8. Sometimes it has an issue with bright light hitting the front of the lens, which has no built-in shielding.
