Just picked this Nikon F kit up at the antique market this past weekend.
Looks to be set up for astro work. I bought it for the 24/2.8 ais lens, but
it appears to be a red dot version of the F. Didn't notice when I bought it. Even after researching it I'm not at all sure what it means as far as collector value.
The camera seems to be in very good condition, except the slow speed escapement is not engaging, so the 1/4, 1/2, and 1 sec speeds are non functional. The remaining speeds are fine, though.
The DW-2 is bright and crisp and the lens is in excellent condition.
All said, I think it was a good deal for $40 bucks.

I bought a Centon PV23 tripod. It's marginally on the 'light' side but the centon PV27 that I have is a bit too heavy to carry around for sevral hours.

I also bought a Hoya 35.5mm green filter, in a small plastic screw-fit box.

picked up my mx-evs from mr. fleenor and ordered a new strap being sold by studentphotostore in the uk. it's stamped "made in germany," but i'm guessing it was made in china like the other replica rollei straps being made.
