What have you just BOUGHT?

picked up my mx-evs from mr. fleenor and ordered a new strap being sold by studentphotostore in the uk. it's stamped "made in germany," but i'm guessing it was made in china like the other replica rollei straps being made.

A good (but ugly) user M3 with collapsible 50mm Summicron.

Goes good with the Robert Capa graphic novel I recently purchased, though maybe not as good as a Barnack would have.

Nope I have matching Nikor daylight SS developing tanks. The lid screws down onto that big threaded central socket on the reel. Then you lower it into the soup

Actually with the new A500 back coming I can shoot short lengths of film. It has a built in guillotine cutter. These hundred footers are a bit much to manage. But I'm glad I have 'em

Ah... just when I thought it was safe to look at eBay again... I find I've a Rollei SLX-2 on its way to my hands with an 80mm F/2.8 lens. If this works like I hope it will, the Bronica SQ-A may hit the road. Sure am lovin' MF negatives! Even color!

Sony a7rii

After years of shooting film - mostly street and landscape shooting - I find myself more likely to focus on family for a while, Video will be a requirement as well. I was really tempted by the iso performance of the a7sii but found a deal on a used a7rii that I couldn't pass up. It probably makes more sense anyway as I know I'll take photos but am less sure how much video I'll shoot in the end.

Nokton48-The darkroom tech would be in serious trouble if for some reason something didn't go quite as planned with the film from a half day's shoot in one of those 70mm tanks It has happened to me more than I care to remember with just 36 exposures of Tri-x

That's a point well taken. But I've been successfully processing 70mm fifteen foot lengths for a while without any major incidents. I do take great care but sure it is possible. Personally I prefer to shoot shorter lengths of 70mm film. And I can process 24 or so 70mm exposures on my modified JOBO reel and tanks, even mixing in 35mm and some 120. Works for me.

The hundred footers are worth having around IMO. Maybe some day....
