What have you just BOUGHT?

Pentax FA [ don't say it ..] 35-80 / 80-200 kit lenses 1997 to extend my back up Pentax K10D . £27 with as new ,neat , clean gadget bag .
Don't say I don't know quality when I see it !
I love 35-80 on APS cameras and it's as acceptable as my Minolta version.

Nikon FE2

Minolta MD 100-500 f8, from a dood in a gas station parking lot via craigslist. Getting it professionally cleaned ($70) cost more than the lens. (came with a free fully functional Minolta X300 which is a surprisingly nice little SLR)
Worst case scenario, I have something to take with me to the batting cages...

New Helios 40-2 in Nikon mount. I was hummming and hawwing over the Petzal, then saw this and much preferred the results with it. Nikon mount means I can use it on my Nikons (!) as well as my Leica M with my Fotodiox Pro adapter. That adapter is surprisingly nice. Rock solid on the camera, really nicely feel/fit/finish.

This Schneider APO-Symmar 210mm 5.6 Large Format lens...Shown mounted on my Zone VI 4x5 Field Camera...

Beatiful one!

I recently purchased a voigtlander bessa r2a with a 35mm 1.4 lens. I need to get the rangefinder recalibrated seeing that the vertical alignment is off.

Olympus 35 RC from a thrift shop, very good condition but the light seal in the back is deteriorating. Looking up how to repair and replace light seals, found a couple of good sites and suppliers.

2 photography related T-shirts,
A load of film from MACO direct,
Leitz 19mm screw-in filter for 35mm or 50mm Elmar,
Leitz 22mm screw-in filter for 50mm f/2.5 Hektor.
Leitz SOOPD barn-door hood for Summitar
Leitz VALOO clamp-on hood
Leitz Swing-out Polarizing Filter
Leica MR Light Meter (that needs a lot of work)
Leica Bakelite 90mm Elmar container.

The Creditcard bill isn't going to be a laughing matter.

Every 'old' camera that I've bought, no matter the brand, has had to have these replaced. I get the kits from ebay, and it's easy to do as long as you are patient. A dental pick and alcohol with cotton swabs helps to remove the old sticky gunk.
Just did a newly aquired Nikon FE2 last night (that was in perfect shape in every other way)

Being sent on Saturday- Sony A39O with kit lens and Tamron 80-200 in gadget bag - £102 !!!

I just wanted a Minolta Mount body with flip/waist level screen and live view ... but ... maybe this is the least expensive mini-system ever !

It's a bonus , that given the outdated tech of Sony's last entry level DSLRs it employs a second sensor for live view overcoming some of the problems associated with other cameras .

Just bought a Cosina CX2 with its motor drive for €5. The camera looks and works perfectly, but the motor drive is dead. No complains though for the price was right.
