What would you photograph if you could photograph anything?

The Australian out back ... and spend time photographing some of the more remote aboriginal tribes that haven't been totally screwed over by the 'white fella's' ideals and aspirations in this country!

I would like to go back to Lahore in Pakistan and stay for a few months. The beauty, culture and humanity of Lahore are unmatched by anywhere else I have visited.

a friend of mine spends all his time photographing beautiful naked women... he asked why I don't do it... I said the women are nice, but I'd rather forget the camera.

;)

The...

The...

A long lost relative who've you never met has passed peacefully into eternal repose and in their will has left you a substantial bequest, with the stipulation that you use it to take a year off from work, pay the bills, and use the rest to photograph whatever is your passion.

What would you photograph if you could go anywhere and photograph anything?

Dark side of the moon.

If you would like to see those who have had this opportunity, except for five years, go to MacArthur Foundation website http://www.macfound.org/site/c.lkLXJ8MQKrH/b.1139453/ and scan for photographers. Some familiar names there.

Don't bother looking for the application to be a MacArthur Fellow. There is no such thing. If you are good enough to be a MacArthur Fellow, they already know who you are and contact you.

I would really like to photograph the interiors of the various buildings in the Forbidden City in Beijing. Incredible possibilities, but access very limited, i.e., not practicable for mass tourism. Rangefinder cameras with 35mm or wider lenses, f 2 or larger, would be ideal for this task.
