Whats your biggest rangefinder related regret

Last Thursday I walked into a used camera shop in Istanbul. I spotted an M6 with a 50mm f2.8 Elmar-M attached. I inquired the price of the black Elmar that was attached. He said $450. I didn't buy because I needed to consult my wife. I went back 20 minutes later. He then said I had to buy the camera and lens together for $1900. I wish had just bought it and explained later. I think the price was good. Better luck next time.

That's why i always take my wife with me. She is much better in bargaining than me....
 
Not buying a Noctilux when they were sensibly priced!

It's a lens I've always wanted to try ... but too late now.
 
I regret buying a fed 2. I have a Zorki 4, and I totally hate the fed. It's just not my type.

I was near Sogo Hong Kong, I saw this begger, the atmosphere, lighting and everything was perfect. I had one frame left, and decided to save it. Reflecting back, I regret so badly. 🙁
 
Last Year I made the mistake of parking my car on the street in DT New Orleans ..... Huge Mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! instead of parking in a parking garage. The area where I parked the car looked safe enough. I mistook lack of people for as being safe. Little did I know the boarded up biuldings around the area I parked were full of homeless people according to the cops who took my police report After shooting some of the early Mardi Gras parades I returned to find my car had been broken into and I had 2500.00 worth of camera gear swipped!!!!!!!!!!! Fortunately All of it was insured. but I have yet to replace a Contax 2a and a Iskra 1 camera yet. Bummer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I got to N Orleans I asked the nice gal at the visitors center if N. Orleans was safe and if it had much street crime. She said N. Orleans is a very safe city............ Yea!!!!!!!!!! Right!!!!!!!!!!!! In 08' N. Orleans had 273 murders according to the cops and ranked as one of the most crime ridden cities in America - A warning to the wise- Kievman
 
Buying the M8 too early. Waiting one year and the used prices would have been way better. Sometimes I think that selling the M8 after one year was a mistake. Sometimes i think it was the right decision....
 
I don't use Rangefinders all that much and that's my biggest regret when it comes to them...
I do own three and they are all the same...an Olympus 35-S (w/G. Zuiko 42mm 1.8 lens) I love the lens and the negs it gives me...I love printing them...
I have three...one I use and two back-ups just in case...
I don't use it much because I'm not that comfortable with it (not quick enough)
The one I use is hanging in the hallway, ready to go...it's just not my first choice...I do regret not taking it out...
 
My biggest RF related regret is, that I truly regret, to have spend so much money and time, fiddling my way through compact cameras over DSLRs to a Leica RF, to find, that with RF cameras, I enjoy shooting most and do shoot now most of the time.

I wish, my first serious camera would just have been a M7 or a MP with set of fast lenses - could have saved me quite a bit of hassle ;-)
