When did you last use yours?

Seriously I wouldn't dream of using a tripod with my RF gear. I mean, the whole point in buying it was ease of use, portabilty, lightness and being able to shoot freely and quickly.

Now, with my MF gear that's a different story. Tripod mounted, mirror up, cable release. That's what MF is all about.

Horses for courses imho.

Which one? I used one last about a week ago while shooting still lifes with the Hasselblad.

Night photography is a real interest, and I go through phases during which I use them all the time, even with the Leica. And I use flash!

Two weeks ago, some night shots with my Leica and the Noctilux. Otherwise, I usually only bring it with me when traveling somewhere by car and then used for both 120 and 135.

15th of July. Portrait shoot with Anne. A very old, very cheap Vanguard tripod.

Yes, it is quite wobbly, but I tend to use a cable release (M2, Yashica Mat) or a remote control (D200). It is good enough for HDR pictures or indeed fading light.

I've been using mine continuously for the last two days: I have a hummingbird feeder and have been trying to get some photos of the birds. I have my SLR with a 300mm lens set up fairly close to the feeder and this morning the birds seem to be ignoring it and the noise of the camera.
Before that, I sed it with my Bessa R2a for some pinhole shots. I just got the results back and may have some to post to my gallery later today.
Before that I used it with the bessa for fireworks photos July 4. Also just got the film back and some of those look pretty good.
If the discussions work out, I will be doing my first nudes later this month and will be using it for that project. Not sure if I'll post those anywhere.

With Leicas, almost never.

With most other cameras, whenever I use them. Well, I say 'tripod' but actually I use an IFF studio stand in the studio for everything up to 8x10 inch. Once you've used a pillar-type studio stand, ANY tripod comes a poor second (and my wife and I have around a dozen tripods between us).

For small, ultra-light tripods, (American-made!) Ultrapods wipe the floor with the Leica table-top, which in turn is better than anything else.

Cheers,

R.

Outside? To take proper photos? Errr...April 2006, I believe. More recently I used a monopod with a Bronica 6x6 and Velvia 50 about six weeks back.

I plan to do more work on a tripod, though. I've been working on a home-made large format digital hybrid camera than will likely work at around ISO 6. It's a very cumbersome setup, but I feel I need to be slowed down once in a while. I picket up the Taschen Atget book a week back and have been marvelling at his body of work.

I take most of my pictures (still and macro more than anything else) with a tripod. I never used one with a rangefinder camera, I almost never use one outdoor except when I shot a viewcamera.

Last Wednesday

Big difference between shooting with a Bessa I at F-8/11 using Extachrome 100 Plus and shooting with a 5D at F 2.5-F 4 ISO 1600

My restored NKVD 1934 FED with original lens for about three hours this morning. Packing film to go to the lab right now.

I think it was sometime during the Clinton Administration.
Yes, I remember it like it was yesterday.
I needed a stable platform on which to rest my coffee cup while I shot handheld.

I left the house with one this morning with good intentions but it was raining. I used one yesterday.

In an architectural photography course, the instructor told us to "bring me pictures, not weather reports!

(Sorry Al, couldn't resist!)
