(it's been more than a year since i last shot film. The irony is that i had to send in my digital M for some cleaning and decided to shoot a roll on my dinky Seagull TLR just for kicks. It felt surreal sitting in the dark loading film into the dev tank after all this while. I kinda miss it!)

Not necessarily my best or my favourite, but it's amusing. Yes those are pet goats out for a walk.

I love it! This is in St. John's? Not taken recently, I hope -- looks cold.

June 2014. Chicago, downtown on Michigan Avenue, good Samaritans helping a blind man who has just fallen get back on his feet. I had only just passed the area when I heard a commotion behind me, and was able to turnaround and shoot two frames with my Rolleiflex camera. I reacted so fast that I didn’t have a chance to fully digest what had happened. When I processed and scanned the negative I realized the man who had fallen was a blind man, that he was traveling with another blind person, and that the curb area had been removed, and this is what must have caused him to fall. There was a scaffolding and construction nearby, so his normal route home had been changed.

Thanks! Yes. It is St. John's and, sadly, it was taken a month or so ago.

6/2014 Chicago — Chinatown area. Black and white photograph made with Kodak 120 Tmax 400 film & 1961 Rolleiflex 2.8f of a man standing on top of a live fish transporting truck, taking a moment to use his shirt to wipe off the perspiration on his forehead. I "spied" this scene from a block away, and thought it might have potential. The man was moving around a lot, going about his duties collecting live fish for sale to a local restaurant in Chinatown. When he stopped for a moment I was fortunately in position to capture the moment. About the man -- he and a fellow worker drive from NY to Chicago with many stops along the way to deliver fish. The truck carries about 8 huge holding tanks, with each tank holding up to 1,000 fish depending upon size and species.
