Camera and Coffee

ok ok!

i don't hate anyone here, especially you frank!
and oscar, i would stand beside you to fight off the inquisitators (?)

i must be some freak of organization and the product of a cubed mind.
i use my cv glass on my bessa and intend to use my canon glass (if they ever show up) on my canon.
seems like it's the natural way to go. i like things that were made for each other.

and no i don't include people in this scenerio.
actually it's only cameras when i think about it, cause i don't use all original parts in my car or anything like that.

hhhmm...joe must book appointment with the nice doctors again.

Family Coffe Break

He's my RF family (minus the Olympus SP, at the camera doctor) enjoying a cup of java or two.

Canon Cameras must have Canon Lenses?

Canon Cameras MUST HAVE ALL LENSES. Lenses from Canon. Lenses from Leitz. Lenses from Nikon. Lenses from Steinheil. Lenses from Jupiter. Resistance is Futile. AND the MOTHER of ALL Lenses; The Canon 50mm F0.95. This is why Leica went to the M-Mount. To Escape the CANONATOR!

I keep a Nikkor 5cm f1.4, Leitz Summarit 5cm f1.5, and Canon 50mm F1.4 on my Canon's.

GET THE COMFY CHAIR!

It also helped to remind me I need to play with the Zeiss Contessa more. I've only run one roll of print film through it and it was very sharp. I should try a roll of Velvia to really test it though.
Looking forward to using the SP when it gets back from repair also.

As rare as the Nikkor 10.5cm is in 'C'ontax mount, it would probably be cheaper to buy an S2 and the S-Mount lens for it. I have the 8.5cm F2 and "all-Black" 13.5cm F3.5 for the Contax. I have not seen a 10.5cm f2.5 except in Braczko's book. I found the 10.5cm in LTM and am using it on the M3. The 90mm framelines work very well with it.

I also have the 8.5cm F2 lens; it is my favorite of the two but the 10.5cm is probably a little sharper. I started using the 10.5cm in LTM on the M3; it was a $125 basket case that I repaired the threads and put an M adapter on.

10.5cm F2.5 on the S3

i think as photographers we do get caught up in the mystique that is leica - Joe
I have an M6ttl with 4 lenses, 2 are Leica and 2 are Japanese. I'm too embarrassed to say why I have a Leica body, but I have one now and I've got used to it and I like it.
Hi Peter -- I'm with Denis; I don't see any reason to be embarassed about having a Leica M6, unless it's involves a funny story. 😀

It kinda bugs me to hear Leica M owners characterized as clueless dilletantes with deeper pockets than understanding of the photographic arts, whose Leicas are "male jewelry" used mainly to impress others. I suppose there might be a few of those in the world, but it's offensive to assume that whenever a Leica is admitted to.

I'm probably immune, though, having bought my M2 37 years ago for $150... grandfathered-in, so to speak! I can't claim to be "proud" of my Leica (as I didn't create it), but I'm sure happy to have and use it.

not saying that you are implying this but - - just for the record i didn't say anything close to that.

Thanks Doug. Hey, do any of you Leica shooters post pics or drink coffee? Inquiring minds want to 'see'.
~ ; - )

Let's see if I can scare up a shot of my Leica... yeah, with a Pentax lens on it purchased from RFF member Ross Macdonald.

After returning from basic training, my recruiter took me out for a cup of coffee. My first; yuk! Next, years later, the gal I was dating took me to visit her old Finn grandmother, who of course set out coffee and stale bread chunks. Yuk some more. Gal's now been my wife for 27 years, and neither of us consume anything coffee-flavored. But it sure does smell good near the coffee bean grinder in the grocery!

As it is close to Halloween, lets see if I can scare any of you with:

Sporting a Black Leather Case ripped from a Vivitar 220 (Cosina).

The Canonator.

Hard to see the fractures in the Finder at that resolution.

Ever here that Nikon F's could be used to drive nails and still take pictures? I guess an S2 can also be used as a Hammer...

The 219th S2.

I keep hearing that "Leica" name bandied about. Is that a type of coffee, or what? Is it Columbian grown?
