the old screw mounts were truly compact and lovely to behold.

...I've never used one of those II series LTM Leicas, but I love their looks. There's just something so cool about them...
...Agree with Gene - love the look of the older screw-mount Leicas...

Lovely (*jealous*) camera. I wanted one of those but couldn't find one and got the Zorki 4 instead. KMZ had to "uglify" the classic Leica III form of the Zorki 3 to add the flash sync mechanism.

Btw Joe, noticed how when you write some '-' in a post they seem to appear in a really odd text box just above the forum list in the main page ?
I think we need Jorge's help for that...
Oh, and that's a really good looking Canon P my friend... hmmm...
Ok Taffer, repeat: idonneedap i donnedap idonnedap idonee...
Vladhed, yes, that happened also when the elegant Zorki 2 turned into the not-so-elegant Zorki 2C. Seems their FED counterparts however never had a problem to fit the flash sync mechanism into the existing bodies...

Well at least this touching up isn't going to be as boring because the photos have quite interesting subject.
As for coffee, it's brewing at the moment.

Coffee? I think not.
Coffee? I think not.
Anyway, the Mrs and I got into San Francisco ok. Wow, what a long flight from North Carolina! We're beat. But anyway, had dinner in Chinatown. So here you go, sorry, no coffee...this time.
Best Regards,

Hmm...looks like the table cloths at Great Eastern..or maybe Pearl...
If you want a real treat in china town go to Hing Lung on Broadway. It looks like a dump - and I guess it is..BUT they have a world-famous dish there that they do really well...it's their Chook (rice porridge). It's really, really good and you have to order some fried bread with it as well. (I personally like the pork version but your miles may vary).
For the best pastry in Chinatown go to Golden Gate Bakery...their egg custard cakes are the best you will ever find. That is also the reason why you will see 30 people standing in line outside of the place on the weekends
Me I bought a bike rack and am gonna install that this weekend as I'm about to head up north to Point Reyes - so take care of SF for me!

We were at the Golden Dragon. We saw that bakery, I think. I'll mention that and the restaurant you mentioned to my wife. Also, we were down at the pier taking photos of all the bicycle stuff going on there this afternoon. I have three rolls of film in being processed now - but won't be able to scan until I get home next week.
Have fun!
