Camera and Coffee

Check the earlier posts in this thread - I've posted a photo of my two favourites - well, three, if you include the coffee cup 🙂

I think I have a Leica and coffee photo posted way back in this thread as well. 🙂

Brian,
Nice shots and love the Far-Side coffee mug. I've got a frankenstein leather case too. Hey it works ~ ; - )

Brian,
I've always desired the Nikon S. Not because of any special features, but since it and I were created in the same year ..... LOL.

I'll get a picture of the Nikon S up Soon! Mine is quite nice, and I keep a collapsable Sonnar on it.

The SP came out the same year that I did!

"l.mar?
you were named after a lens??

don't matter, welcome to the forum.

joe"

Thanks! I've been surfing a number of different photography forums (fori?), and this is one really appealed to me. The old Elmar lens shown on the M3 body drew me back into photography. It's an early, "o"-numbered lens from the 1930's which belonged to my Grandfather. Although I never had the chance to meet him, I am lucky to be able to photograph his great-grandchildren (my kids) with it. Oddly enough, the M3 body was produced in the same year I was...

Contax IIIa with a Jupiter-8 with her Nikon cousin. The Zeiss-Opton F1.5 Sonnar is on Loan to an S2. The Jupiter is quite sharp and was $2 from Richard Tillis(Woodmere Camera) at a camera show.

And the Best $50 that I ever spent, my 1946 Leica IIIc that was Factory Converted to a Leica IIIf, with lens and fitted case. The Skylight filter on the Elmar is from an Argus C3. I'll bet you will pay a lot less for an Argus C3 filter than for a Leica Filter! And I bet the salesforce at Protech camera in Virginia will not laugh at people buying the Manager's Camera grab Bags anymore!

I like my Leica's like I like my Coffee: BLACK and NO SUGAR! The original Vulcanite on this one is perfect.

Brian, Man they are gorgeous. I'd be afraid to take 'em out in the rain an shoot with 'em.
Well, I'm taking the Zorki up to Mt. Rainier today, 39 f and snow!

Agree with Gene - and Gordon nice looking camera and photo. Was the Zorki 6 the last one produced?

... these are real beauties!

Only on RangeFinderForum.com could Leicas, Contaxes, Nikons, and Zorkis be collectively described as "real beauties." That's what I love about this place. Most RFF members have real interest in and appreciation of different camera marques. Needless to say, this is not true of some brand-specific camera forums out there. 🙂

Well, The IIIf, Nikon S, or Contax have never been in the rain on my watch. I had the M3 out in the rain yesterday and going down the Giant Slides at the fall festival today. Will drop the rolls off tomorrow. I am tending to favor the 10.5cm Nikkor on the M3 as of late. i will have to find an appropriate Coffee cup.
