Here my Canonet QL 17, some coffe and the westcoast of Vancouver Island off the deck of my GF's parents place outside of Sooke. Taken with my rolleicord.
 
As promised in another thread, here's some C&C (kinda, since the cup is empty) pics of my Leica IIF with the Elmar lens I picked up yesterday.

I am soooo there! For any of you familiar with the wet...er...west coast of the island, it's right next to French Beach. We can watch whales pass, and dream of 500mm telephotos for our rf's :D

Chris, my wife and I spent over a month cruising our sailboat down the west coast of Vanc. I. Amazing country, spectacular scenery, wild and wooly. Loved it.

Someone gave me a Xenon 5cm 1.5 lens so I obviously I hadda' get A Bessa R for it, right? Right? (This is all your guys fault).

The Atget book is an education in it's self.

Southeastern is a nice dealership, I bought a body there a couple of months ago and dealt with Tony who seems a really straight guy.

I have the current Elmar-M and I got that from a guy on photo.net and he bought it new from Southeastern. I guess they do a fair business.

 
Well, the wife is at work and the little guy is happily playing with his new Thomas the Tank Engine toy train stuff while a Pingu DVD plays. He also told Dad that he'd had his picture taken enough :p so I thought I putter around and produced this little family portrait of my gear. I've weeded pretty mercilessly of late to provide trade fodder and simply let go of things that weren't getting used enough. Everything here, with the exception of the Argus C3 has been used within a month, so I should find that Argus a new home.

The main users right now are the 7 & the Speed Graphic. That just seems to be where I'm at in this game. Two fun bodies and 127 & 213 on one while a 35/2.8, 50/2.8, 50/2, 50/1.8, 90/4, & 135/4.5 for the other. I can't quite claim to "be at one" yet as I keep wanting a 50/1.9, a 50/3.5 & a 28/3.5 but all-in-all I'm pretty happy with the toys I have. And shooting my :angel: last night just reminds me to be greatful & thankful for everything I have. And that includes here :D

Santa is extra generous this year. Look what he brought me. A lovely M3 with 5 cm Elmar f3.5, and a 9 cm Elmar f4. Both lenses are coated.

I will post when I get something worthwhile. My first roll did not quite rewind properly before I opened it up to look.

With other cameras I have used - you could feel a bit of extra tension as you reached shot 24. With this 1956 double stroke Leica - is the mechanical advantage such that I will not feel "the end" of my roll and thus muscle past this point? Should I just rewind at shot 24 so as not to pull my film out of the canister?

I followed back alley's loading instructions. They helped a lot. Now I need to master the rewind.

I am also trying to attach 2 shots. I will see if I am successfull?

I usually get 25 or 26 shots per 24 exposure roll. You definitely feel it when you reach the end of the roll.
 
John: Lovely, and great shots! Manitoulin is one of my favourite places, I expect nice pics in your gallery from the M3 & Elmars!
