EUROMEET 2013, Prague, 18-19 May

That sounds interesting (the Friday meet up).

Perhaps Lawrence is still curious about the Josef Sudek museum? I may try to go there on Friday or Monday (after checking their website for opening times and days of course).

I am working on Friday, I can meet in the afternoon from about 18h.
So how about at 18.30h at typicall meeting point - under the tail of Saint Vaclav statue at Vaclavske namesti?

on one of my visits my company got us settled in hotel europa, which is just few steps away. sounds nice.

most museums may be closed on monday? maybe friday after morning coffee :)

They are both within the walking distance.

[QUOsTE=lawrence;2139387]I'd like to see both, if there's time.

See you Saturday morning at Louvre.[/QUOTE]

Is there anybody who want to meet on Friday morning ? If not, I'll look for some photography shops.

Any addresses where I could find foma film, maybe used cameras etc ... ? Is Foma film cheaper in Czech then with Fotoimpex or Macodirect ?

Stefan.

Come on Stefan, coffee place as meeting point in Prague on Friday evening? :D

I already suggested meeting at 18.30h at Vaclavske namesti, please see few posts above. Friday is beer time;)

Hello Tom,

Well, how about meeting at Café Louvre at e.g. 18.00 on Friday ?

Stefan.

FOMA is available with usual suspects:

www.fotomaterial.cz
www.fotoskoda.cz
www.befoto.cz

Be foto has the best prices but you have to ask about the stock. Fotomaterial and FotoSkoda should have stock. They are within the walking distance. I have FotoSkoda customer card for 8% discount I think, I can of course borrow it to you.
Be foto is in my neighbourhood and I know the owner. Actual prices should be better then the one at www.

Your right and I should have remembered that the Czech are the second best beer drinkers in the worldwide with the second best beers. :p

Your proposal is accepted.

Stefan.

I will be working at Friday and Saturday and still do not know if I could make it at least for the evening at any of those two days.
Hopefully I will have all day free in Sunday and Monday.

And one more suggestion for a place to rest or meet -

Jama pub (street name: V Jame)
http://www.jamapub.cz/pub/pub/mainmenu/mainpage/show.en.php
It is located directly in the centre, just around the corner from the photo stores mentioned earlier.

Pavel

Have a fun Euromeet ya'll! I will have an umeshu or two in your honour. Wish I could have been there, but at least I got a badge :D

A question for our Czech participants maybe:

I am thinking about when and where to get my Czech Krona... is it possible to draw money from an ATM, say at the main train station, using a V-Pay card?

Drawing with bank card from any bank cash mashine is fine. But not from the cash mashine of an ondependent financial company.
