both versions of the 35/1.4's arrive at CQ about Feb 21st!

Wow, I guess I expected a longer wait, because this sounds like great news to me. I may just be able to order one to have for my birthday.

The other interesting “news” on the voigtlaender.de homepage ( = Ringfoto, not “only” importer to Germany but also owner of the nameIt seems that VOIGTLÄNDER.DE slowly got the message that too high prices in Germany will just increase Stephen's sales, and lower their own to quite zero.
You just made me go look.
The 35/1.2 is still listed in Japan.
Wonder if a change is afoot though?

I'd tend to place my faith with the manufacturer rather than the importer – if Cosina list the 1.2/35 as in production then I'd go with that. Knowing Ringfoto they probably just deleted the wrong 35 by mistake – the idea of having two 35s with practically the same name might've been too much for them.

Could whoever gets it please post some photos ASAP? THis lens really interests me esp. the .7 min focusing distance. I would like to see how it performs wide open. If it is anywhere near a pre-asph Leica then I would almost certainly buy it...

Be patient it's not on the market, yet.
I will guess that Tom A will have it soon and offer us some thoughts about it.

rover...sc or mc?

mc I think is the easy answer. I have the Canon 2.8 and Ultron so I have lower contrast covered.

I know it's not out yet, but like many others on this thread I am very interested in how it will perform but unlike some others I would like to see some results before taking the plunge...

using that logic i should go for the sc then as the cv35/2.5 is higher contrast...the sc was my original choice.
You have the Biogon too, where does that stand? (not to mention the Rokkor)

biogon is pretty good contrast wise, not as contrasty as the cv. the rokkor is nice as well, not quite low contrast.
seems the sc is really the way to go for me.

I will swap my 35/2 v3 in a heart beat.
Roland.
If the Bokeh is good enough, and the lens is half as sharp as the 40mm Nokton I am going to get rid of my terribly overrated 35/2 v4

Just ordered mine. USD$529.95 + $64.95 for the shade.
I'd had enough and decided I wanted to do my own tests and shooting before reading others' comments.

I saw a comparison photos of this lens versus summilux 35mm in one of the japanese magazine and honestly apart from the bokeh that seems a tad harsher than the summilux it produces a beautiful image (both lenses mounted on an M8) I've ordered one through Dr Yao in Hong Kong (where I am now at the moment)

I will be seriously annoyed if there is any delay for UK stocks :bang:
