I don't know, I'm with Godfrey, red dot or no red dot... it does not matter. I look at the camera very minimally. Whatever is cheaper used is my motto.

The biggest offender in aesthetics is Canon with their advertising scribble on the front of the T-70 and T-90.I will say the red dot is not nearly as bad …

In a similar vein, perhaps Leica could scribble this next to the red dot: “Connoisseur film camera. Total manual control experience. Rangefinder focus.”

Yes, of course. Nothing wrong with selling cameras. Leica cannot compete on price and play the volume game. It would not work.
I am well aware they went the boutique route. It worked for them. Low to no volume dealers were not getting the job done I guess. I mean Leica turned some of the better dealers into Leica boutiques. It is unfortunate, but it worked. Times change. I only buy used digital Leica many many years after they are released. I like to use a digital rangefinder sometimes. I wish I did not.

Rangefinder cameras are of the past. A concept of almost 100 years ago! Save your money!
