So you want to be torn between film-and-dev costs vs purchases of new Fuji bodies and lenses?

Something like Olympus 35RD or similar thing with good reputation AND not too high price AND fixed lens could be a remedy, especially if you decide to step off film route after some time.

Eh, if you need to scratch that itch now then I could offer you a long-term loan of my MDa + 25mm Snapshot-Skopar, to keep you going until you buy that which you desire. To be honest it's feeling a little unloved at the mo.

Joe, if you like zone/scale focusing a 25mm, a GREAT little kit is the Bessa L with the Snapshot Skopar 25 and optical viewfiner. That lens has those cool click-stop detentes at 1.5, 3, and infinity meters. When set at f8 and 3m, everything between about 1.5 and infinity is in focus. Perfect for street photography... you don't even have to look at the camera to set focus - you can FEEL it! 🙂

That is a bit remiss of him IMO. Joe has often banged on in the past about the purity of this form being diluted by the proliferation of non RF cameras.

In the final wash he has turned out to be one of the worst offenders! 😱

I will point out to the powers that be that I have several rangefinders ... and I think I'd quite enjoy being a mod! 😀

The only one that I ever contemplate getting again is the RD-1.

Every so often, I do lust for an M9.

The end result is I pick up the X-PRO 1 with the 18 and remember why I sold it all off in the first place.

... I can see nothing wrong with that, we could do with a more repressive system.

Oh, come on Joe. A Leitz/Minolta CL with 40 and 28 mm lenses. Add the 90 at some point for a bit of reach. Perfect, classic RF kit.

actually, that's not a bad idea...but getting a cl with a working meter is a tough assignment!
and i want a built in meter...

but you would hate it! people wanting to blame you for stuff that happened before you were even awake...assuming all sorts of negative stuff about your intentions, mission, behaviours, value system, ethics...the size of your pen...
