What have you just BOUGHT?

Oh yes, and a 30l Ortlieb messenger backpack. My old Billingham 445 has shrugged off everything the English weather can throw at it, but it has a tendency to slip round when I'm cycling in a rain jacket; so it's time for something more bike-oriented. The Billingham can go back to being my main camera bag.

Plus, with the Ortlieb I might be able to cart home all the other stuff I've bought recently.

1946 Elmar 50/3.5 nicely matching IIIc of the same year:

Mamiya Sekor f/2.8 55 mm N for my Mamiya AFD + Kodak DSC Pro Back.
Love those Sekors on the old Kodak Pro Back.

I have the "S" version of this lens...it's sharp and the angle of view is nice...
Used mine on the m645 with a WLF this weekend...could have left all the other lenses at home...
Enjoy your 55...

Just a polaroid EE 100 special and a 5000 both new in box, never used. Found also a Yashica Mat EM with a film in it but that one was stored too damp.

Another vote for the 55mm on a Mamiya 645. I love my 55/2.8 N/L, it is always in my bag (well on, on the camera most of the time really).

Fresh in

Fresh in

A Canonet QL17 - old style (not a G-111). Been messing with earlier Japanese rangefinders (Taron Marquis, Fujica 35-SE, Konika Mk1, &c) but fancied something a little more advanced. Just shot a test-roll. In the end it's all about lenses.

I've just ordered the Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art.

I have the 50 1.4, and after a little adjustment it's phenomenal, I'm looking forward to the 35mm to compliment it.

I'm keeping an eye on the Tamron 35 1.8 that's coming out, but for now I'm going with the Sigmas, because they're a known quantity, and the USB dock is a great addition

A circa 1940 Leica Elmar 3.5CM to go with the Summar 5CM and Elmar 9CM on my iiic.

30 packages of Fuji FP-3000b and a fridge to store them in.

Wow, you going to have a lot of fun with that! Enjoy.

btw I'm currently in the process of selling not buying and this will go on for the next month I guess - have to thin out the collection....and free up some funds

next buy might be a very early EOS cam: 620 or 650 - never had a chance to try them out when they were new in the shops but in those days I was very tempted to buy one but never did (luckily then I bought a Rolleiflex 2.8C)

Following a post here about the Japanese auction sites, I bought these two.
Have been wanting a Mamiya six for a while, this one needs a bit of love but it's the automatic which akes it worthwile.

The Mamiya 35 has a f2 lens which I have not seen elsewhere and a jammed sutter which I see everywhere!

Last but not least, I bought this on the local auction website. It was advertised as "needing repair" but when it arrived, the only thing not working was the film counter.
It's the V3 model with 1/3000th shutter speed and all the internet searches said that the shutter would probably be busted beyond hope of redemption, fortunately not so.
Needs clean, but cant wait to try it out, just need to find something moving fast enough in my sleepy little hollow where I live to point it at.

Olympus OM focusing screens

Olympus OM focusing screens

Bought two OM focusing screens -- the 1-2 (microprism for standard and telephoto lenses) and 1-14 (microprism and diagonal split image screen). Been thinking about these for a while for some OM-2n bodies and pulled the trigger because the price on these was lower than I've seen before.

I have another 1-2 screen. While the Olympus specs say it is for standard and telephoto lenses, it also works well for wide angle lenses too. Unlike some of the other screens, the microprism doesn't black out until f8, as opposed to f5.6. So it is very good for use with slower lenses.

The 1-14 has the diagonal split image that is superior to the standard 1-13 which has the horizontal split image. I don't understand why all cameras with a split image don't have it oriented on a diagonal as opposed to horizontally.
