No, it’s a different and much more complex optical design

I would have bought the 21 /3.5 if it was , like this new 50/1.5 , available in all black ; not a fan of the silver and black color scheme with the vintage lens family.

Those sample images, though a tad low res, do look quite nice. I'm very hopeful about this lens being a good replacement for the 50mm 1.5 V1 and the M-Hexanon I use on my M6

the 50/2 Summicron is substantially bigger than the Voigtlander 50/1.5 II !

Did anyone who pre-ordered also have the C-Sonnar for comparison? It's a bit much to have both, so I understand if nobody did. I just want to know if there are any focus shift and bokeh differences.
